When is my Saturn return?
Saturn takes 29.45 years to come back to where it stood when you were born. Enter your birth details for the exact dates — usually three of them, because Saturn retrogrades back over the same degree.
Saturn return questions
- How old will I be during my Saturn return?
- Between 28 and 31 for the first, most commonly 29 or 30. The exact age depends on where Saturn was in its orbit when you were born, which is why the dates are computed rather than assumed.
- Why do I get three dates?
- Because Saturn appears to reverse for about four and a half months each year. If your natal degree falls inside the stretch it reverses through, Saturn crosses it three times over roughly nine to twelve months. If not, you get one pass lasting days.
- Does an unknown birth time matter?
- Barely, for this. Saturn moves about a fortieth of a degree a day, so a few hours of uncertainty does not move the pass dates. Only the house Saturn crosses needs a time, and this page leaves it out rather than guessing.
- What about the second and third returns?
- The arithmetic is identical, around ages 58–60 and 87–90. Pick the one you want above.
Astrology is not a science. The orbital arithmetic on this page is exact and checkable; what a Saturn return means is a matter of tradition and interpretation, not evidence.
